Courtney was born in Jamaica, immigrating to Canada with his mom and siblings at age 14. His entrepreneur journey began at 20 years old when he built and ran a recording company that offered talent development and high-level event production for local artists. Timeless Aftermath became a staple in the local music community. With hundreds of studio hours and hundreds more in production and event planning, the company took Edmonton’s music industry to a level that the City had never seen before.

 

After 10 years, it was time to write another chapter. With his  background in carpentry and the support of his wife, Courtney started Variety Finishing, which offers interior remodelling and custom-build services in Alberta. It has grown to become a successful and reputable company.

 

Courtney’s passion for people and talent is natural. No matter the industry, he has always been very successful at bringing people together and fostering strong relationships.
 

In 2019, he made it all official by creating Nexus Ignite. With his background and experience not just in business, but altogether in life, Courtney felt the need for bringing the business and entrepreneur community together.

 

The purpose for Nexus Ignite is to provide entrepreneurs and talent with the tools and resources to develop through a holistic approach.
